Transition to Thailand

So, our visas in India ended up expiring much sooner than we thought that they were expiring, so we decided to take a trip to Bangkok! While we're here, we might as well eat some of the best Thai food EVER and explore the city.

We've only been here a couple of days, but it's VERY different from India.  It's very clean, nobody beeps their horns while you're on the road, and it's all very civilized.  It's a bit of a culture shock, honestly.  Everyone is nice though, and once we recover from the red eye flight that we took to get here, we will start exploring the city.  There are some wonderful things to see, like a 47 metre Buddha statue, and a solid gold Buddha, and, oh yes, there is the BEST THAI FOOD EVER!! (We are eating a lot here) Oh yes, and since we were going into movie withdrawal, we just went to see Quantum of Solace.

We are planning on going back to India in a month or two, as we missed the south of the country.  Before that, we will probably be in Cambodia for Christmas, then back to Thailand.

We are both doing well, no sickness so far, to which we attribute our super immune systems and the fact that nobody wants to get too close to us to give us germs, since we both reek of garlic (more than usual, I mean) - we are taking it prophylactically like medicine - raw - several cloves per day.  Nathan smells about normal (Nathan is reading over my shoulder and asks me "what does THAT mean?").

Anyway, hope everyone is well, and if you have any advice about Thailand and where to go and what to do, give us a shout.
