Temple of the Rats

They call it the Shri Karni Mata and it is rather like a church combined with a scary funhouse ride at a dime store amusement park.

There are two pitch black tunnels to walk through wherein you can pray that a rat or several will scurry over your feet (or pray that they won't depending on your religion / philosophy).

It is supposed to be good luck to have a rat touch you, as long as you don't step on it. However, we remained dubious of that claim and were fine with going away from the experience without the rat blessing.
However, there were those whose feelings on the matter were very intense. In fact, they were so desirous of the touch of rat that many of them lay on the ground in hopes that one would...I'm not sure what. Bite them?
